About Allison

Allison C. McMillen is a dedicated second-generation plaintiffs’ attorney with a strong focus on representing victims of medical malpractice. For over a decade, she practiced alongside her father.  Before joining Faiella & Gulden, P.A. Ms. McMillen earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from Middlebury College in 2002 and graduated magna cum laude with her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 2007.

With more than 15 years of experience in medical malpractice cases, Ms. McMillen has also represented numerous families under Florida’s Birth-Related Neurological Injury Compensation Association (NICA) laws. She has successfully helped families secure NICA benefits or, when applicable, obtained rulings that allow them to pursue medical malpractice cases outside of NICA.

Ms. McMillen has been an active leader in her field, serving as a director on the board of the Florida Justice Association and as an officer of the FJA Women’s Caucus. Notably, she was the second woman to serve as President of The Central Florida Trial Lawyers Association. She also contributed to the Florida Medical Malpractice Handbook, Second Edition, co-authoring a chapter on NICA for the Florida Bar. Her commitment extends beyond her legal work, having served on the Florida Bar Civil Procedure and Rules Committee and the Editorial Board of the Florida Bar News and Journal. Ms. McMillen also dedicates her time to the community as a Guardian Ad Litem for dependent children, along with other pro bono work.

Outside of her legal practice, she enjoys reading, practicing aerial arts, and spending quality time with her rescue pug mix.
